Milos - Apollonia

Apollonia  is a picturesque fishing village built around a pretty bay, bordered by a beautiful sandy beach shaded by tamarisk trees. To the right of the bay, the chapel of Aghia Paraskevi and the small port with a row of typical taverns and cafes; to the left of the bay, the chapel of Agios Nikolaos and the Pelekouda district, a pretty new district housing the majority of rentals. The place is ideal for families and diving enthusiasts who will find a club there. From Apollonia , caiques and a ferry serve the smallnearby island of Kimolos every day. Excursions are organized to Glaronissia  : enormous blocks of basalt with hexagonal facets emerging from the water at a height of 20 m. Apollonia is surrounded by pretty beaches. Among the most beautiful are Mytakas , Agios Constantinos , Agia Irini  and Pachainas . Numerous walks are available to the visitor. Among the most interesting: the Papafranga cave, a former pirate lair, is a narrow fjord which threads its way between high rock walls and flows into the sea through a gap in the rock.
Do not hesitate to contact Andreas : 00306972535958 , who organizes, when the weather permits, beautiful excursions with his caique, the “  Perseas  ”, with meals and drinks included in the price, to the neighboring islands, to help you discover the underwater caves, the rocks with strange and spooky shapes, the landscapes of jagged cliffs, the small coves with water the color of precious stones…  Superb walk which will remain forever engraved in your memories. Departure from Apollonia .
Examples of excursions: Glaronissia, Kimolos , Polyegos etc…

A bus service connects Apollonia to Adamas . However, a means of transport – car, moped, scooter or bicycle – is strongly recommended in order to fully enjoy this region rich in landscapes.
