Located on the west coast, this large town, sub-prefecture of the Cyclades , made up ofthree districts nevertheless retain a certain imprint of the Middle Ages thanks to the Kastro district.
At the top, the Kastro district with its maze of winding streets, lined with beautiful medieval residences, decorated with coats of arms, is home to the Catholic community, the Grotta district to the north of the city is located on the site of the ancient city, the port with its two major shopping streets damaged by disparate constructions.
