Naxos - Melanes Valley

It brings together a few hamlets surrounded by olive groves and orchards. There we find a “kouros” from the 7th century lying in the middle of abundant vegetation not far from a stream. The small village of Mélanes is picturesque with its stepped streets and its local taverns known to locals and which serve some specialties including cock in sauce.
