Santorini - Imerovigli

These are the “residential” districts of Thira . In Firostefani , the precipice is steep. The panorama of the volcano, the bay and the voluminous mass of the “Scaros” rock (formerly one of the five most important settlements on the island) is admirable. Part of the village is built on a slope on the precipice. Imerovigli is the village located in the center and highest point of the Caldera . The view of the bay is exceptional. You will find a path a little further down. If you are not afraid of heights, take it, it leads to the chapel of “Theoskepasti” . The spectacle there is grandiose. To get to Thira , follow the path along the cliff, the walk is superb. Numerous restaurant and café terraces will allow you to contemplate the landscape at leisure over a glass of white wine made in Santorini . A regular bus service connects Oia to Thira .
