Drios is still called “Garden of Paros ” thanks to its abundant springs whose waters are collected in three large communicating reservoirs and which comethrow yourself into the sea, on the beach of Drios . It is a pleasant and quiet vacation spot bordered by a pebble and sand beach, shaded by a row of tamarisk trees and extended by a tiny fishing port. You can see carved into the rock the ancient anchorages of the caiques from where the inhabitants could monitor and protect themselves during pirate invasions. The place has a good tourist infrastructure, shops in the village, rentals and hotels scattered in the narrow streets lined with flower gardens. At the water’s edge: friendly taverns and trendy bars frequented by young Greeks. It is 2 km from Golden Beach , 3 km from Tserdakia Beach ( New Golden Beach ) and 5 km from Pisso Livadi / Logaras .
Drios includes the places called Boudari and Pyrgaki which are more residential with beautiful villas built by the Athenians and pretty coves, some sandy, others rocky for you to swim peacefully away from the crowds. A good bus service connects Drios to the most important villages on the island. To better enjoy the place, a means of transportation is however recommended .
